THE IMPORTANCE OF REGISTERING IN THE LOF (FRENCH BOOK OF ORIGINS)

If you want to have your breeding and puppies officially recognized, registration with the LOF is necessary. The French Book of Origins is managed by the Société Centrale Canine and ensures the traceability of purebred dogs in France.

To register a dog with the LOF, the breeder must provide an identification certificate, issued by a veterinarian, which certifies that the dog is purebred. In addition, the breeder must prove that the puppy's parents have successfully passed the health tests recommended for the breed, therefore for the Braque Bourbonnais, the tests mentioned above.

Ensuring the health of your Bourbonnais Pointer breeders is a responsibility that every breeder must assume. By carrying out the recommended health tests, you guarantee the birth of healthy and balanced puppies and you contribute to the preservation of this French dog breed. Keep in mind that a healthy dog produces healthy puppies. So, take the time to choose your breeders carefully, have them tested and take care of their health. Your passion for breeding and your love for the Bourbonnais Pointer breed will guide you in this process.
